The story of Chez Lyndon Manor
Our History
Chez Lyndon Manor was built in 1883 for Joseph Carter Headley, a horseman and realtor. It was originally located on the northern outskirts of Lexington. Today, we are situated in the heart of historic downtown.
In 2000, I began an extensive restoration, carefully maintaining its historic character while adding contemporary comforts. As a result, Chez Lyndon Manor stands as a testament to Lexington's rich architectural heritage, while providing guests with Stylish Kentucky Hospitality.
Our downtown location positions us within walking distance to some of Lexington's finest restaurants, shops, and attractions. Our proximity to the Kentucky Horse Park, Keeneland Race Course, and the Bourbon Trail makes the Manor an ideal home base for exploring the best of the Bluegrass Region. This benefit goes two ways, because my staff and I love hearing about our guests’ travel experiences.
Meet Your Innkeeper
Rev. Anton Giovanetto
As a child, I remember watching my older brother and his friend open a can of Hormel Chili one Saturday morning. Ten minutes later, they had lunch. I thought to myself, I can do that! But why not add something to it? This was the beginning of my hospitality journey.
Over the years, I’ve done many things, including serving tables and managing events. Today, I still do these things. Nothing is more enjoyable than serving my guests a balanced, well-plated meal.
As an ordained minister, I bring a unique perspective to hospitality, combining my service background with my passion for creating welcoming spaces where guests feel like they’re at home. So, my hospitality journey continues.
